12/27/2022 0 Comments Dungeon village building placementRight now, I'm enjoying the looks, but I can see how maybe placing a chicken coup near a house, and a barn with another one, would look much more realistic. On the other hand, its going to be easy to fence and the roadmap does have bandits on it, so maybe that's a good thing. My plan is to have a large fence around my town, and I'm now realizing its going to be a large rectangle, which is very formal and very non-medieval. Then I added groupings of homes where I thought the placement would enhance the look of my town. Since I had most the buildings unlocked already when I moved my village this time, I put a 25x25 farming plot in and placed all the utility buildings around 3 sides of my farming square (with spaces so I can later add tables, fences, etc). Its very simple to delete the farmland once you are done, and it costs you nothing. Its helped me keep my houses in a row (even though none of them are in a straight line) and my town streets pretty clean. I was building on a slope and the terrain would dictate which direction I could place the buildings, leading to a chaotic build.įarmland as a guide: you can place a row (or square) of farming plot to dictate how you place your buildings. This last time, I decided to keep my game going, but I moved the entire village to a FLAT area.įlat Land: I'm not sure if you are building in a flat area, but it makes a huge difference. I just started playing about two weeks ago and I've restarted three times already.
